Innagreen Investments has completed its first UK energy market acquisition, purchasing the nine-turbine Dunbeg South wind farm near Limavady, Northern Ireland.

Hertfordshire-headquartered Innagreen, which manages utility-scale renewable projects globally, expects the farm to deliver 38.7MW of clean electricity—enough to power approximately 31,000 homes annually.

The site, developed a decade ago by RES, also has potential for expansion with up to four additional turbines, subject to planning consent. Under the agreement, RES will continue to manage development, construction, and technical services once operational, ensuring long-term performance.

Olly Alexander, CEO of Innagreen Investments, said, “This acquisition represents a significant milestone as we expand into the UK market, with further acquisitions expected through 2026. Dunbeg South offers strong fundamentals and aligns perfectly with our strategy to invest in high-quality renewable energy projects. Working alongside RES, we are committed to delivering clean energy that benefits local communities and supports Northern Ireland’s renewable energy ambitions.”

Lucy Whitford, UK & Ireland managing director at RES, added, “Their investment reinforces confidence in the UK renewables sector and ensures this project will deliver lasting benefits for consumers, local businesses, and the economy.”

RES has a long track record in Northern Ireland, having developed or constructed 30 onshore wind farms totalling over 525MW and currently operating more than 156MW of capacity. The Dunbeg South acquisition strengthens Innagreen’s entry into the UK, underlining the growing investment demand in operational renewable energy assets across the region.
