The Business Energy Achievement Awards 2026 has released its Book of the Night, a commemorative publication capturing the full story of its 2026 gala ceremony held on 16 September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
The publication serves as the official record of an evening that brought together Ireland’s energy practitioners, sustainability leaders, and industry decision-makers under one roof. Now in its sixth year, the programme drew 102 entries and presented 21 awards, and the Book of the Night preserves those achievements in a format designed to be revisited long after the gala ended.
From category-by-category winner profiles to photography from the night, the publication offers a comprehensive account of the energy achievements that defined the 2026 programme.
Standout moments included Whitehaven in Santry, developed by Tuath Housing, Cairn and MosArt, taking both the Overall Energy Achievement Award and the Sustainable Construction and Building Performance Award for its 255 ultra-low energy homes. James O’Regan of Gilead Sciences Ireland received the Energy Leader 2026 award, while Lidl Ireland won both Innovation in Decarbonisation Large and Best Energy Excellence in Commercial Operations.
Cold Move Logistics Solutions claimed two awards, Best Energy Excellence in Food, Agriculture and Consumer Products and Innovation in Decarbonisation Small, while EZO won Best Energy Achievement in Transport and Innovation in Decarbonisation Medium. Enel X took Best Energy Management Team for its Real Time Operations Team, and Kepak won the Sustainable Energy Achievement in Water Usage award.
Further winners included Pfizer Newbridge in manufacturing, Evergreen Care in healthcare and life sciences, Coghlan’s Bakery in food and beverage, Irving Oil for company performance, Uisce Éireann in the public sector, and Hodson Bay Group in campuses, tourism and public venues.
The Book of the Night goes beyond a simple winners list. It sets each award within the wider forces reshaping Irish industry, from decarbonisation and renewable generation to data-led energy management and electrification. It brings together detailed winner profiles, judging commentary, and a full account of an evening hosted by Colm O’Regan and supported by gold sponsor Shabra Group and supporter Amárach Research.
The Book of the Night is available for reading now, offering the full record of a defining evening for energy leadership in Ireland.
