Ireland’s energy storage capacity could jump nearly eightfold by 2035, with 155 battery projects totalling almost 10GW in the pipeline. Energy Storage Ireland’s new report warns that 14% of wind energy was wasted last year due to limited storage. Delivering this pipeline could eliminate such losses, cut fossil fuel reliance, and drive down costs for businesses and households. With battery prices falling 90% over the past decade, the case for investing in scalable storage has never been stronger.
