This award is open to organisations, design teams, developers, or building owners across the island of Ireland that have delivered carbon-efficient buildings through exemplary design and performance. The judges will want to see how energy efficiency and carbon reduction were embedded at the design stage and delivered in practice. You must demonstrate measurable performance outcomes and a clear commitment to long-term sustainability.
- Project Background: Outline the building type, size, use, and occupancy. Include energy performance targets and design standards applied.
- Strategy Background: Describe the energy and carbon strategy underpinning the design, including modelling, material selection, and lifecycle considerations.
- Implementation: Explain how the design was delivered, including passive design, fabric performance, low-carbon systems, and renewable technologies.
- Organisation Commitment: Describe collaboration between designers, contractors, and occupants, and how energy performance is supported post-occupancy.
- Outcomes & Results: Provide measured energy and carbon performance data, benchmarking results, and any post-occupancy evaluation findings.
- Supporting Facts & Statements: Include certifications, awards, or lessons learned that add value to the entry.
